Itabus brand identity

OIL Design Lab conceived and designed the Itabus S.p.A. entire brand identity, from the logo to the liveries for the 100 buses. 

The goal of the project is to communicate to future users a new concept of bus travel, one that is no longer cheap and lacking in guarantees but is highly qualitative and able to fully enhance the travelers' experience. ​Specifically, in addition to the liveries and logo, we have built a new identity for the company, declined down to the smallest of details: from the customization of the interior of the coaches to the uniforms for the staff, from the design of the offices to that of the stops.

We designed the interior furnishings for the buses of Itabus S.p.A. with a focus on creating a visually distinctive and brand-aligned experience.

 

By carefully selecting a variety of colors and textures, we ensured that the interiors not only reflect the brand's identity but also stand out as immediately recognizable.

 

At the same time, durability was a key priority. We chose materials that are both resistant and able to withstand high usage, ensuring the interiors maintain their aesthetic appeal and functionality over time.

Here is our proposal for the interiors design, and than the effective realization.

Uniforms Concept
 

We designed the uniforms and accompanying gadgets for Itabus S.p.A. to ensure both functionality and a strong brand presence. The uniform features a modern, professional look with clean lines and distinctive color accents that align with the company’s identity.

 

The choice of materials prioritizes comfort and durability, essential for high-performance use. Additionally, the gadgets, such as name badges, caps, and accessories, complement the uniforms, enhancing the cohesive brand experience and providing practical solutions for everyday tasks.

 

The overall design reflects a balance of style, professionalism, and usability, embodying the values of Itabus.

We designed over 40 different concepts for the bus exterior, carefully exploring a variety of styles and themes. From these, we created 7 full-scale mockups, applying vinyl films to actual buses for a realistic presentation to the clients.

 

This hands-on approach allowed us to bring the designs to life, ensuring the final result perfectly aligned with the client’s vision. The end design is truly remarkable, combining creativity with practical execution to create a standout visual identity for Itabus.
